A Day of Barbadian Romance

14th February, 2013
Happy Valentines Day from Loop Barbados

Happy Valentines day to all of our readers out there! The day of love is upon us once again and we thought we would celebrate it by planning a romantic day for you and your loved one.

* Breakfast on the Beach - Start your day off with a simple {or extravagant} breakfast; it can be just some coffee with coconut bread or you can go all out and prepare a full on hot breakfast with mimosas. Watch the sun rise together and celebrate your love basking in the moment.
* Take a Day trip down the East coast making St. Nicholas Abbey one of your main stops. This charismatic, Jacobean styled plantation house, bursting with old world charm and glamour will take you back in time. Take a stroll around the lush gardens, through the antique filled rooms and most certainly the rum distillery. After take a drive down Cherry Tree Hill passing by Morgan Lewis. Maybe make a lunch stop at the good old bajan 'shop' Sand Dunes for a traditional meal such as cutters or macaroni pie and fish.
* Make an early cocktail stop and watch the sunset on the Caribbean sea. For a more budget stop, Blakeys on the boardwalk is a great option or if you prefer to sip that cocktail in a chic and stylish venue Cin Cin by the Sea is perfect.
* Finish your afternoon with a romantic dinner. Maybe you crave something exotic and ethnic, Sitar Indian Restaurant in Second Street would be ideal; or for a classic international fine dining experience The Tides Restaurant is just dreamy. Take a look at our lunch experience  and dinner experience at The Tides!

Remember, Valentines Day may only come once a year but romance and love should be kept alive all year round.

We would love to hear what you think.
