Barbados Blooms: Erect Heliconias

26th June, 2013
Erect Heliconias

Some tropical blooms to celebrate the mid-week. The blooms we decided to share today are erect Heliconias which can be seen scattered across Barbados, especially the country. These low growing, crab-claw shaped flowers are lovely as a landscaping plant but also perfect as cut flowers as they can more readily withstand the Barbadian climate that other imported blooms. Hope all our readers are having a wonderful and bright week thus far!
