JANUARY

 

Barbados Jazz Festival. This jazz festival is one of the leading jazz festivals throughout the Caribbean which showcases international, Caribbean, and local musicians and entertainers.

FEBRUARY

  Holetown Festival. This Festival, founded in 1977 showcases the history and culture of Barbados through art, craft, music, food, fashion and drama.

MARCH
  Holders Season – The Holders Season Festival is the premier of performing arts festivals held throughout the Caribbean. With its mix of elaborate performances and talented artists hosted in a 17th century plantation house, this event is top class and should not be neglected.

APRIL
  Barbados Reggae Festival – This multi-day reggae festival showcases a variety of international, regional and local reggae artists and performers. It is composed of a variety of events ranging from beach parties, to vintage reggae to the most popular “Reggae On The Hill”.

  Oistins Fish Festival – This festival held in the Oistins Fishing town commenced in 1977 and displays a selection of regional and local delicacies, arts and crafts, live music and cultural entertainment such as steel-pan.

  Carlisle Bay Festival – This festival is organized and executed by seven Watersports Associations and is full of excitement, entertainment and not to mention fun!

  Sir Garfield Sobers Golf Festival – This Golf Festival is the biggest golfing event in Barbados. The exceptional courses together with the warm welcoming, attract international, regional and local players.

  GospelFest - The Barbados Gospel Festival is considered the leading Gospel Festival in the Caribbean and this festival is dedicated to Barbados, the Caribbean and the international community. It has maintained an excellent standard and is a well-known festival throughout the region.

  Celtic Festival - Usually held in either May or June this is a two-week celebration of the Celtic cultures and heritages from the early Europeans (Welsh, Irish and Scottish) who settled in Barbados. The festival highlights culture through music, dance and various events such as Haggis night.

JUNE
  Crop over Festival - Crop Over is a twelve-week festival, which celebrates the culture of Barbados through music, dance masquerading, art and craft. Throughout this period there are various events which take place. Some of these events are Party Monarch competitions, Cohobblopot festival, Bridgetown Market Street Fair and of course the Grand Kadooment Day!

  Banks International Hockey Festival - This festival is one of the more popular sport festivals on the island. It attracts both regional and international teams to compete in this competitive yet friendly festival. The tournament is played on the world class astroturf at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

OCTOBER
  Sun, Sea, and Slam International Bridge Festival – Attracting international players, this festival is held yearly and allows for a mix of friendly yet keen competition.

  National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) – In celebration of Barbados’s national independence, the National Council Foundation introduced a festival in 1973. This festival, usually held mid October to late November presents many aspects of Barbadian culture and art through drama, dance, music, literary arts, culinary arts, visual arts, photography and art and craft.

NOVEMBER
  Barbados Food and Wine and Rum Festival – The Barbados Food, Wine and Rum festival is a relatively new festival but is hastily increasing in popularity. Through fine dining, gourmet evenings, cooking, wine and rum seminars, educational seminars, community events, professional showcases, parties, tours and much more Barbados can celebrate all that it has to offer as a diverse culinary destination.
