Top 5 things to do in Barbados if its raining

Yes, that thing we all dread when we come on holiday to Barbados - rain. We pray that it stays behind and does not follow us but unfortunately we cannot escape nature and its course. However there is no need to worry, if it does rain while you are on vacation, here are our top five things you can do:

1. Harrison's Cave - One of the greatest wonders of Barbados (and in fact the world), your trip is not complete without a visit to this stunning cave. On a rainy day Harrison's Cave is even more ideal to visit as the streams and water falls are full and running with excitement. You can either take their tram tour or their more dramatic eco-adventure tour.
2. Limegrove Lifestyle Centre - Add a little glitz and glamour to your trip to Barbados by visiting the famous and new Limegrove Lifestyle Centre. Browse the many extravagant shops or stop by and watch a movie in their luxurious cinemas.
3. Barbados Museum and Historical Society - With over 500,000 artifacts dating from prehistoric times, observe the visual story of the people of Barbados. Be humbled as you step back in time to see were all this beauty and culture of Barbados came from.
4. Tour the Mount Gay Rum Distillery - When you visit Barbados you know you have to taste our rum, not only the world's oldest rum brand but also a rum that has been winning awards for over 300 years! Great tour rain or no rain.
5. Make a Meal out of it - This is the perfect day to go down to an indoor market such as Cheapside, buy some local produce and cook up a real authentic meal. Maybe cou-cou and flying fish or even some bul-jol. It's the perfect day to bring out the adventurous cook in you!
