Restaurant Review: D'OnoFrio's Trattoria

Everyone loves pasta; especially the rich creamy pasta which with each bite you feel a little closer to Italy, or at least we do. We paid D’onofrio’s, a relatively new Italian restaurant in the Crane Residential Resort  a visit to see what they had to offer. The quaint and fairly casual restaurant is very warm and inviting, outfitted with wooden furniture and finished with fresh flowers.

The menu is hands-down Italian but not too complicated. Melanie ordered the Linguini Pescatora while I had the Salsiccia Picante con Penne. Melanie’s pasta was filled with all that seafood goodness you crave such as shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari; all of them being cooked down in a light and flavorful white wine sauce.

My choice was more of a comfort dish with spicy Italian sausage served in a creamy rose sauce. Zucchini was added to the dish which gave the meal a wonderful element of freshness. A very hearty and comforting our meals were, nothing too fancy but rather simple and tasty.
