We savoured the view of some amazing sunsets and sunrises in the last couple weeks!
We enjoyed some great local dishes that are in season- Pickled Cucumber and Avocado, Breadfruit Chips (a favourite snack), the famous flying fish and some juicy mangoes!
Located on the South Coast of Barbados is the well known and very popular Sandy Beach. The name speaks for itself, as you enter the closed off bay, you are welcomed with white sands and of course crystal clear Caribbean waters. The beach offers a lovely, flat, sandy lagoon for you to lounge on all day while soaking up the sun or engaging in a water sport activity. It is perfect for children as the waters are very calm and shallow.
Last week we had an amazing paddle board session with What' SUP Barbados. Now, you may be wondering what all this talk about SUP is, well it is Stand Up Paddle(boarding) and one of the most fun, relaxing and social activities that we have ever tried. We started off our Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session on the West coast at Batt's Rock beach where the sun was just about setting and created a calming and serene atmosphere.
For Loop Barbados's third feature in our Off The Beaten Track segment, we decided to take some time to introduce you to Cove Bay. To get to the North-East Bay of Cove Bay, it is quite a trek and can be tricky to find as you must make your way through a pasture of cows, sheep and goats! You are initially greeted by a 'once working' windmill and as you follow the cart road to the cliffs of Cove Bay itself, pure magic lies in front you.
